Memosail Memosail 10 minutes chronograph, cicra. 70s, overall in good condition, the width of the watch
is about 42 mm across (excluding the winding crown) and 44 mm from top
to bottom, below is an approximate analysis:
Case = original base metal mid case is overall clean with a few minor wear, no rust or corrosion
Caseback = original stainless steel screw down caseback has a few
scratches, no rust or corrosion, all factory writing is clearly visable
Crystal = original acrylic crystal is clean
Dial = 100% original Memosail signed blue
color dial is in excellent condition without any wear, original tritium
makers had aged evenly to a yellowish patina, all writing & markers
are visible and clean, marked "T SWISS MADE T" at the bottom
Hands = original hands are clean & in good working condition
Movement = original Memosail signed 17 jewels Valjoux based Cal. 7737 manual wind chronograph movement is
in good running condition; all chrono function is working correctly,
not recently timed, regulated or pressure tested, not guarantee for
waterproof
Winding crown = original non-signed winding crown works correctly, can wind and set time alright
Band = comes with a Zodiac made lamb skin leather strap in 20 mm width
Here is the data that Dave sent me on TZ Forum after we launched this web site, "Hi I have been reading the post about yachting timers (and posted the Chronosail myself). If
you are interested, I have a quartz yacht timer using the ISA 8270
movement (10 minute countdown timer, race onward timer, alarm), that I
would be happy to get rid of. I will send photos if you are, but it is
a pretty unique piece because I put it together using a demonstration
movement that I found on E-Bay, and a case I bought to suit from It's
Time in Switzerland.
